MANAGECANCER.ORG

The Loved Ones section helps to answer the question “What can I do to help?” This section provides links to resources that assist caregivers and guide loved ones. It also provides ideas for gifts and suggestions on ways to help and support cancer patients. Dealing with cancer is difficult enough, no one should have to do it alone. This section will help you help your loved ones.

Children

It addresses all stages of the cancer journey including diagnosis, treatment, hospitalization, recurrence and end of life. All proceeds from the sale of this book benefit The Gathering Place, a non-profit cancer support center providing free programs and services to individuals and families.
Send a card and/or a gift to sick children and bring a smile to their face! The Make A Child Smile Organization features different kids facing chronic or life-threatening illnesses, and asks web visitors to send each child, cards and/or gifts by postal mail to brighten their day.
HugsandHope.org allows you to pray for, encourage and send “happy mail” and gifts to children battling disease. You can submit an application to include the story of a child that you know and care about to be posted on the site.
