Decision Time: When to purchase a wigs due to chemotherapy.

The hard decision .....when to purchase a wig if you are anticipating medical hair loss as it relates to chemotherapy. Often times women who are anticipating chemotherapy will come to see us prior to their treatment and/or hair loss. We look forward to meeting with you and to help you develop an action plan regarding when to purchase a wig. Sometimes, if you wait until the hair loss has occurred, you are confronted with difficult emotional decisions to choose something quickly. If you are able to order your wig prior to hair loss then there is plenty of time to try on wigs, make a choice and order something if what you wish is not in stock. There is no right way, only your way as to do this. Keep in mind that wigs are considered to be a retail purchase and sometimes are reimbursable to you through your insurance company.
