Oral health problems that cancer survivors face


 

Treatments for head and neck cancer patients, such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation may result in damage to the salivary glands, loss in saliva production and problems with speaking, eating, swallowing, as well dental problems and infections such as oral thrush.
