A range of toxicities are likely to be encountered in patients receiving chemotherapy for cancer treatment. For example, this image shows massive dilatation of the colon, especially the right colon and cecum secondary to ileus. Such gastrointestinal autonomic dysfunction—often manifesting as bloating, constipation, ileus, and abdominal pain—may complicate vincristine-containing therapy.
